Our history

How many of you suffer from stress or anxiety in your daily life?

I feel you, I had periods of high stress at work for years until a doctor friend recommended me to learn crochet to manage that stress.

Learning on my own was quite frustrating. I had never knitted before and I didn’t know how to hold a crochet hook or yarn, but in my head I thought it couldn’t be that hard, right?

Of course I had no idea where to start. I didn’t know how to read a pattern or what the different stitches meant. The information was scattered and I spent a lot of money, time and effort with no results. The yarn didn’t match the size of the crochet hook, I was confused when counting stitches because I didn’t have a marker. How do you close the rows? How do you close an amigurumi? How do you put the eyes on? How do you sew everything together?… It was all questions. All I could think was, “I can’t believe there isn’t one place that has everything.”

I managed to learn and got hooked

Since then, crochet has helped me a lot with my stress and that’s why I decided to create The Snuglies, to offer beginners like you the easiest way to learn how to crochet, whether you want to learn a DIY activity, or you’re looking for a creative and therapeutic activity to manage problems such as anxiety, stress, hyperactivity…

Our kits include all the materials you need to learn how to crochet your amigurumi. We combine these physical kits with an online educational platform, created by experts in usability and online learning, where you will find step-by-step video tutorials for each kit, as well as videos that will explain the basic stitches and techniques. In addition, we organize workshops in schools, institutes and companies, to promote creativity and teamwork.

And if you are in the same point as I was, with a level of stress that does not allow you to sleep at night or lead a normal life… this is your place!
